How long have you been tournament fishing? I started at the age of fifteen. So about twenty five years.

Where is your fishing Career headed? Full time bass open, the Stren Series.

Have you considered going pro? Yes I have considered that it is my dream to go pro.

What are your career earnings so far? 33,000

What type of fisherman do you consider yourself? I consider myself a semi pro, power fisherman.

What type of lures do you like to throw? Spinners and Jig

What type of lure do you have the most confidence in? The spinnerbate.

Do you have a weakness in your fishing as far as techniques? The drop shot is skill that I need to learn.

What Brand of boat do you like the best? I like Ranger Boats.

What brand of rods and reel do you use? I use G Loomis rods and Shimano reels

What is your favorite lake and why? My favorite lake is Buggs Island. That was the lake that I grew up fishing on.

Before the start of the tournament, did you think you could win it? Yes

How did you approach the tournament? I approached it by fishing my strengths. I was throwing my jig and staying in shallow water.

How was it going into the final day in first place? Were there any Jitters? Yes I did have jitters but I tried to block them all out.

How did you feel coming up short by just ounces? I knew that it would be tight being I didn’t have my five fish limit, on the last day.

What are your thoughts going into the Federation Nation Championship? I believe that this will be a tough tournament because a lot of us fishing don’t have knowledge of the lake. I think it will come down to ounces for the win.
